Cookies

To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most websites do this.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

How do we use cookies?

The EIT Alumni website is hosted on WordPress and uses the theme Semplice. Semplice itself does not collect any cookies.

We use cookies for a number of different purposes. Some cookies are necessary for technical reasons; some enable a personalized experience for both visitors and registered users; and some allow the display of advertising from selected third party networks. Some of these cookies may be set when a page is loaded, or when a visitor takes a particular action (clicking the “like” or “follow” button on a post, for example).

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by the EIT Alumni Community in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Enabling these cookies is not strictly necessary for the website to work but it will provide you with a better browsing experience. You can delete or block these cookies, but if you do that some features of this site may not work as intended.

The cookie-related information is not used to identify you personally. These cookies are not used for any purpose other than those described here.

Do we use other cookies?

Because some services (videos - YouTube, social media - Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) are provided by third parties, these third parties may use additional or different cookies to those described above.
