Zsófia Anna Ghira's Alumni Story: Battling the Heat among the Vulnerable
Zsófia was looking for the right business accelerator for her Cooling Corners and Corridors concept. It was a challenge to find the right fit for a project developing islands of greenery to shelter vulnerable city residents from the impact of urban heat waves.When New European Bauhaus kicked into gear, Zsófia was delighted to find it was exactly what she was looking for. And the EIT was there every step of the way.

Liana Shvachiy's Alumni Story: Found Family and Hidden Potential
Liana was just ten when she had to move from Ukraine to the complete opposite end of the European continent, in Portugal. As she “snowballed” her way through an EIT education that started in warm Évora and slalomed through the Alpine countries of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Liana came to realise she didn’t want graduation to be the end of her time with the EIT Community.

EIT Alumni Impact Report 2022
2022 was a year of consolidation and growth for the EIT Alumni Community, as the Board focused on building sustainable operational capacity and standardising processes. Knowledge-sharing across KIC alumni networks improved through stronger workflows, enabling new collaborations and joint opportunities. This year also saw the integration of the newest KICs, with the EIT Urban Mobility Alumni Association officially joining in October. By sharing best practices and aligning governance structures, the community enhanced cohesion and efficiency.

2021 showcased the determination and vision of the EIT Alumni Community in its sixth year, as members continued to build connections, drive innovation, and strengthen the EIT network. Guided by the support of the EIT Governing Board and Director, the community fostered an environment where students, researchers, and entrepreneurs could translate ideas into impactful solutions. With entrepreneurial skills addressing critical gaps between research and innovation, members advanced sustainable initiatives and built a strong foundation for the future.
